A collision on 30th Street involving a tractor and a car left one man hospitalized and another treated for minor injuries, according to reports from the
Morrison County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred around 8:25 pm on November 9th, when 61-year-old Robert Gerads of Bowlus was driving his tractor, hauling a trailer along 30th Street. Following behind was John Loxterkamp, 72, from Swanville, in a Buick LeSabre. The LeSabre collided into the back of the trailer, an accident just a couple of miles west of Bowlus in Two Rivers Township.
In the statement released by the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office
, Gerads was transported to St. Cloud Hospital by Mayo Clinic Ambulance, having sustained injuries whose severity was not immediately known. Loxterkamp was treated at the scene for injuries described as minor.

also reported being assisted at the scene by several other agencies, including the MN State Patrol, Bowlus Fire Department, Bowlus First Response Team, Upsala Fire and Rescue, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance. The accident is still under investigation, with the Sheriff’s Office yet to release further details about the circumstances leading up to the collision or any potential factors that may have contributed to it.
30th Street was closed temporarily to accommodate emergency responders and investigators, but it has since been reopened. Authorities have not released any additional statements since the initial report. The community awaits more information as the Minnesota State Patrol collaborates with local officials to conclude the investigation.
