Two 18-Year-Old Suspects Charged in Connection with Antioch Pool Party Shooting

Two people connected to a July 11 shooting at a pool party that left a 16-year-old girl wounded have been apprehended and charged as a result of a recent Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) investigation. Due to their suspected involvement in the violent event at Cambridge at Hickory Hollow Apartments in Antioch, the suspects, 18-year-olds Davin Denson Jr. and Sujoy Guha-Perry, are currently facing numerous criminal charges, according to WKRN.

The MNPD found that the semi-automatic handgun used in the aforementioned shooting was also used in another October incident in which Denson is accused of shooting his pregnant girlfriend, according to FOX 17 News, following their analysis of ballistics evidence and license plate reader technology. Video footage from the pool party shooting is also alleged to have shown Denson, who was already in jail for assaulting his girlfriend, which helped identify him and Guha-Perry.

In addition to five counts of felony aggravated assault, one count of reckless endangerment, and unlawful felony gun possession in relation to the pool party incident, Denson is also facing attempted criminal homicide for killing his girlfriend. According to WSMV, MNPD has claimed that Guha-Perry was Denson’s driver prior to Denson shooting into the partygoers. Guha-Perry was detained on Tuesday and is currently being charged with five charges of felony aggravated assault and one count of reckless endangerment. Both people were placed under arrest.

After investigators looked through Denson’s phone, they discovered more information about the incident, including video footage of the actual shooting and Guha-Perry operating the car from which Denson is thought to have fired. The two suspects were apprehended after the events were reconstructed with the use of a private license plate reader (LPR) in the apartment complex. Both are currently being detained at the Davidson County Jail while they await charges in connection with the grave accusations made against them.
