Two Arrested as San Mateo Police Uncover Brothel Operating From Apartment on Bridgepointe Parkway (1)

The San Mateo Police Department (SMPD) announced the arrests of two individuals in connection with an alleged brothel operation at an apartment on Bridgepointe Parkway. The arrests followed an investigation prompted by multiple reports from residents who suspected prostitution activity at the location.

According to SMPD, its Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant at the apartment on Friday and confirmed the site was being used as a brothel.

The investigation began after the department received several calls and tips through its anonymous hotline. Highlighting the importance of community involvement, SMPD emphasized in a social media post, “This is a perfect example of ‘if you see something, say something’ working.”

Details about the charges the individuals face have not been released.

San Mateo police encourage community members to continue reporting suspicious activity by calling 650-522-7700 or using the anonymous tip line at 650-522-7676.
