Two Men Seriously Injured in Head-on Collision at Rhodes Road Intersection on Roosevelt Boulevard in Largo

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a head-on incident that occurred early on Friday morning on a popular road in Largo has resulted in two gentlemen being taken to the hospital with significant injuries.

According to reports, state troopers rushed to Roosevelt Boulevard at the intersection of Rhodes Road in Largo shortly after 5 a.m. on Friday in response to an accident that had occurred there.

It has been reported by the Florida Highway Patrol that a man from Winter Haven, Florida, who was driving a white Ford F150, was heading in the incorrect direction, specifically westbound in the eastbound inside lane on Roosevelt Boulevard.

A man from St. Charles, Illinois, who was 48 years old at the time, was riding in the inner lane of Roosevelt Boulevard and traveling in the direction of westbound traffic.

Both the pickup truck and the van were involved in a head-on collision at the intersection of Rhodes Road.

Both drivers were hastily transported to a nearby hospital to receive medical attention for their severe injuries.

Sky 10 flew over the location and captured footage of the collision that occurred between the white van and the white pickup truck.

A large amount of damage was done to the front of the pickup vehicle. The driver’s side of the van was entirely ripped off, and an extensive amount of damage was also done to the front of the van.

At the same time, the airbags were activated inside the van.
