Two Teens Killed in Separate Incidents Near BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, Authorities Seek Information

On November 22, a horrible sequence of events took place outside BMO Stadium at Exposition Park in Los Angeles, where two teens died tragically in different but equally horrific incidents. In the first, a car struck and killed a 16-year-old boy who was skating outside the venue. According to FOX LA, the Los Angeles Fire Department declared the teen dead when emergency personnel arrived at the scene at around 4:30 p.m., but there are still little specifics surrounding the crash.

Notably, another 16-year-old was slain moments later in what was believed to be a road rage attack in a different and potentially related event that ABC7 described. Authorities claim that after a confrontation with a sedan driver, who allegedly purposefully followed the group into a parking lot and struck the victim, the second kid was riding a bicycle with around 40 other people.

Sgt. Dan Keene of the California Highway Patrol told CBS Los Angeles about the bike tragedy, calling it “100% preventable, avoidable,” and he urged the driver to come forward. Keene said, “No parent should have to go through that,” highlighting the toll that such occurrences have on people. He added that although though several witnesses had been questioned, a number of them had already departed the site before CHP got there.

According to CBS Los Angeles, detectives are urging anyone with information on the case to call them at (323) 259-3200.
