Two-vehicle Crash Near Hiawassee Meadows Drive Leaves Three Dead and One in Critical Condition

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (DDN)On Thursday evening, a two-vehicle crash on Hiawassee Road killed three and injured one. Around 6:15 p.m., first responders, including the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Highway Patrol, and Orange County Fire Rescue, arrived on Hiawassee Road, near Hiawassee Meadows Drive. They discovered one truck on its roof and another severely damaged.

Authorities said one of the automobiles was driven by a 42-year-old Kissimmee woman. She was rescued and taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with critical but not life-threatening injuries.

The three fatalities occurred in the second vehicle involved in the collision, which included the driver and two passengers.

The identities of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding the disaster were not immediately revealed. The Florida Highway Patrol is heading the investigation, and the identities of the deceased will be published once the next of kin has been notified.

As the investigation proceeds, roadblocks remain in place on both sides of North Hiawassee Road.
