A community is in shock as reports come in about a fatal shooting that took place last night at The Reserve Carrollton Apartments, an off-campus housing complex utilized by many students of the University of West Georgia.

, the incident occurred around 10 p.m. yesterday when shots were fired in the parking lot, leading to one man’s death; the suspect fled the scene in a white car and led police on a chase that ended near Tanner Medical Center, where the suspect ultimately abandoned the car, attempted to escape on foot, but was captured and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital to be treated.
