HOLLAND, Mich. (DDN) – According to the Holland Department of Public Safety – Police Services, one of the drivers involved in a collision with the back of a police cruiser on US-31 did not cause any injuries to anyone.
An automobile that had partially fallen into the median was the target of an officer’s efforts to restrict the left lane of the highway on Wednesday.
The officers said on Facebook that although the emergency lights were turned on, a driver traveling in the opposite direction did not pull over and crashed into the back of the cruiser.
Officers have been reminding drivers to slow down in winter conditions, particularly in areas where emergency vehicles or other cars are parked on the side of the road. This request was made effective on Thursday.
