Vallejo Man, 63, Arrested on Suspicion of Mother’s Murder and Stabbings on Sereno Drive

In Vallejo, the police have arrested 63-year-old Frank James McMillan in connection to a double stabbing and the murder of his biological mother. According to theVallejo Police Department’s (VPD) report, last Saturday, officers responded to a call at the 900 block of Sereno Drive, where they found McMillan and his wife critically injured from stab wounds. Both were quickly rushed to a local hospital for surgery.

While recovering, McMillan spontaneously admitted to the killing of his mother at her home on the 100 block of Campbell Avenue. Patrol officers who promptly conducted a welfare check at the residence used forced entry to gain access inside the residence after not receiving a response. Inside, they discovered the deceased victim, marking the city’s 21st homicide this year. McMillan now faces charges of attempted murder for the Sereno Drive incident and murder for his mother’s death; he will be transported to Solano County Jail post-medical clearance.

The VPD’s Homicide Detectives have taken over the ongoing investigation. The identity of McMillan’s mother is yet to be released, awaiting next-of-kin notification by the Solano County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office. In the interim, detectives Wesley Pittman and Daniel Callison are leading the inquiry, and anyone with pertinent information has been urged to get in touch.
