Vans unveils American Coney Island limited-edition custom shoes that are as Detroit as it gets

DETROIT – A Detroit staple has now turned into a shoe. Vans just unveiled limited edition American Coney Island shoes and shirts that are now available for purchase.

There are only 1,000 pairs of shoes and 250 t-shirts that are part of the Vans “Foot The Bill” program. All proceeds will go directly to American Coney Island to help restaurants during this challenging time.

“We’re the oldest family-owned restaurant in Detroit and we’re celebrating 104 years of business,” said owner Grace Keros. “The pandemic has resulted in a sharp decline in business and any proceeds will help us stay open and continue to serve our world-famous Coney dogs.”

Each pair of shoes is $ 95. The men’s and women’s t-shirts are $ 30 each. Both can be bought here while stocks last. “We appreciate what Vans is doing for us and our employees at such a difficult time,” added Keros.
