Veteran journalist Jo Goode joins Fall River Reporter

Jo Goode, a former staff reporter for the Fall River Herald News, has joined Fall River Reporter.

Specializing in local government, crime, public safety and economic development, Goode brings her 20 years of journalism experience to the Fall River Reporter team.

Starting her career in Wasilla, Alaska as a cops and courts reporter, Goode moved back to her east coast roots in Rhode Island where she worked at The Call in Woonsocket. Taking a short U-turn from her career in journalism, Goode worked for a time with at-risk youth before returning to journalism in 2012 in Fall River.

Most recently, Goode worked for The Herald News for 12 years, covering the city of Fall River and surrounding South Coast, Massachusetts communities. She won several awards and recognition from the journalism community for her years long coverage of former Mayor Jasiel Correia II in one of the city’s worst corruption scandals.
