Authorities are looking into the death of a teenage daughter of a Florida mother who was detained for reportedly pursuing her roommate with a hammer.
After her roommate Shantee Bryant called 911 to report that Glover was pursuing her while brandishing a hammer, Kelsey Glover was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery. Bryant was bathing Glover’s 14-year-old daughter, Giselle Glover, when Glover became abusive, according to the arrest warrant. Glover used the hammer to chase her into the bathroom after Bryant called 911 and declared her intention to kill her.
When authorities got to Glover’s house in Kissimmee, they discovered Giselle unconscious in the bathtub in addition to Bryant’s obvious injuries.
At a press conference, Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez stated that witnesses also reported to police that they seen Ms. Glover holding her daughter’s head in the bathtub while she was 14 years old. They made an unsuccessful attempt to stop her. These witnesses eventually called 911 as a result of Ms. Glover using a hammer to attack and chase them throughout the house.
After being transported to a neighboring hospital, Giselle Glover was declared deceased. Lopez stated that although the department was starting a thorough homicide investigation that would shortly be finished, officers were still awaiting a report from the medical examiner to ascertain the precise cause of death. He described the day as “dark,” saying that what had happened to her was unthinkable.
The Osceola County Jail was holding Kelsey Glover without bail. Marcos stated that more charges were pending, despite the fact that she has not yet been charged with any offenses connected to her daughter’s death, according to WOFL, a local Fox affiliate.
