Virginia Beach Collision Sends Eight to Hospital, Causes Major Traffic Delays on Princess Anne Road

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va (DDN) – On Wednesday, a crash involving numerous vehicles occurred on Princess Anne Road at the intersection of Lynnhaven Parkway. The crash sent eight individuals to the hospital and momentarily closed many lanes of traffic.

According to the Virginia Beach police, all lanes of Princess Anne Road were stopped from Salem Road to South Independence Boulevard, while Ferrell Parkway was restricted from Pleasant Valley Road to Salem Road.

Later, they announced that all lanes of Lynnhaven Parkway, save for the left-hand turn lane onto Princess Anne Road, had been reopened.

According to police, eight people were brought to the hospital after the incident, and two of them were in “very serious condition.” This information was given to a 13News Now photojournalist who was at the site.

They also informed 13News Now that the Traffic Safety Unit of Virginia Beach is looking into what caused the incident.
