Wanted Man in Texas Arrested in Collier County by Florida Troopers; Was Walking on Interstate

COLLIER COUNTY, Flo. (DDN) – A “fugitive of justice” from Texas wanted for murder and child sex crimes was apprehended after being seen traveling along Interstate 75 in Southwest Florida, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said that around 2:52 p.m. on Thursday, they saw a male strolling north on Interstate 75 in Collier County, often known as Alligator Alley.

According to the FHP, the man indicated his “name was Recardo, but soon recanted, and supplied the identity “Angel Kelly Alejandro.”

Troopers said they established his identify as 27-year-old Angel Kelly Alejandro and performed a warrant check, which revealed he was sought in Texas for murder, child sex contact, and possession with intent to promote child porn.

According to the FHP, Alejandro was detained and brought to the Collier County Jail pending extradition back to Texas.
