According to a recent notice that is currently up for public review, Weber County has partnered with the Proposed Nordic Village PIDs Nos. 1, 2, and 3 to approve road improvements spanning approximately 512 acres close to the Nordic Valley Ski Resort.
From the building requirements to the eventual transfer for continuing roadway maintenance, the collaborative arrangement covers every detail, guaranteeing a seamless transition free from direct financial responsibilities from the Districts. However, the notice on Weber County’s official website states that the County will be responsible for maintenance and repairs going forward after the enhancements have been approved by the County.
The agreement, which marks a significant and ongoing commitment, goes into effect as soon as the District Boards meet for the first time with high hopes for improving accessibility and infrastructure around the well-known ski resort. This interlocal agreement points to a future in which the county and districts work together to advance and maintain the valuable roads that will benefit both local and visiting snow enthusiasts.
Resolution 52-2024 and the complete agreement are available for inspection at the Weber County Clerk/Auditor’s Office during regular business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Residents have a 30-day window after publication to browse the documents at 2380 Washington Blvd., Ste. 320, in Ogden, if they are interested in the fine print or would like more information.
