What’s the Ugliest Building in Detroit?

Welcome to Friday Open Threads where we pass the mic down to readers to speak on topics of interest, distress, horror, etc. Do you have something you would like to discuss? Let us know. This week’s topic: Terrible Detroit Architecture.

A few weeks ago we asked readers what their favorite building in Detroit is. We had a lot of good answers, from the Fisher Building to the Guardian Building to good ol ‘Lee Plaza. However, readers also interfered in some buildings on the other end of the spectrum.

That’s what we’re here for.

So curbed readers, here is your chance. What do you think are the ugliest buildings in town? We’re not going to look for ramshackle ruin porn here. We look for buildings that stand out architecturally and not well.

A few weeks ago, readers found the Book Tower pretty terrible. They also thought the Ren Center looked like a strange fortress. Talk and share your thoughts, stories, or even some pictures in the comments.
