Wilkinsburg Community on Alert: Police Warn of Masked Intruder Accused of Home Break-Ins

Following reports of a mysterious man allegedly breaking into homes in the region, Wilkinsburg residents are on high alert. The community was alarmed when a masked guy broke into a house on the 800 block of South Trenton Avenue and stood over a sleeping woman, prompting the Wilkinsburg Police Department to issue a warning.

An invader was standing over a homeowner when she woke up early on Sunday morning. He had to go while she yelled and kicked. Police said in a statement obtained by WPXI that the suspect was heavier set, wearing all black, gloves, and a complete face mask.

Since then, Wilkinsburg Police have asked the public to remain vigilant. The same person was said to have tried to break into another house near the original one on Tuesday morning. But this time, it was observed that the door being tested was open, which raised more questions about the security of the location and the brashness of the potential invader. According to aWTAEarticle, these incidences have led to a call for the public’s help in identifying any questionable activity that might help stop such incidents in the future.

Residents are urged to call the police at 412-244-2930 if they have any information that could help apprehend the culprit.
