The Wilmington Police Department recently made an arrest following a troubling interaction that took place in the streets of Wilmington in the early hours of November 14. Officers from the Uniformed Services Division were dispatched to the 3000 block of North Market Street following a report of an aggravated menacing incident involving a firearm, according to a Wilmington Police Department report.

Following swift investigations, investigators were able to name the suspect as Nykii Brown, age 23. His arrest warrants were quickly acquired. The Gun Intelligence Unit found and arrested Brown last Wednesday, almost a week later, on the 3000 block of North Jefferson Street. Brown was discovered in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun during this arrest.

Brown is currently facing a number of accusations, including two counts of carrying a concealed deadly weapon, aggravated menacing, and terroristic threatening. In Justice of the Peace Court 11, the suspect was arraigned. He was confined to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution after his arraignment. $27,000 was the secured bail amount.
