Wilsonville Man Arrested on Murder Charges in Father’s Death in Molalla

A Wilsonville man has been arrested in connection with his father’s death following an investigation by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were called to a residence in the 35000 block of S. Ellis Road on Sunday morning after reports of a suspicious circumstance. Upon arrival, they discovered 70-year-old Michael James McCann of Molalla with multiple gunshot wounds outside his home.

Sheriff’s Office detectives detained and eventually arrested Michael Morris McCann, the 34-year-old son of the victim, early Sunday morning. The younger McCann was taken into custody by the Clackamas County SWAT Team at his apartment in Wilsonville and now faces charges of Murder in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon, as reported by
