LAS VEGAS (DDN) – A woman who was detained in connection with a hit-and-run crash that happened over the weekend has made her appearance in court.
Elizabeth Rodriguez, who was detained on Monday for her involvement in a hit-and-run that resulted in a death, appeared in court on Tuesday to face three charges connected to traffic violations.
She is accused of hitting a woman who was crossing Eastern Avenue in a marked crosswalk and then leaving the scene of the incident. Later, the victim passed away at the University Medical Center.

Rodriguez was found to have handed herself into the authorities after having a conversation with her family when they were out at a restaurant, as was revealed later in court.
In addition, prosecutors revealed that there was a history of traffic offenses, which included a citation for driving above 100 miles per hour in a 50-mile-per-hour zone.
She is being jailed on a $100,000 bail and is expected to go back to court on Thursday.
