Following a startling occurrence at a McDonald’s in South Memphis, a lady was arrested on suspicion of using a screwdriver to stab a customer in the face during an attempted robbery in the drive-thru. Police claim that Ashley Davis, 39, approached the victim’s car window and demanded money while brandishing what seemed to be a screwdriver when the victim claimed she had none. The attack happened close to the intersection of Lamar and Airways on Trezevant Street, according to a report by WREG.

Action News 5 said that the suspect stabbed the victim in the face while saying, “You should’ve had some money b****,” after the victim told Davis she had no money. cops struggled to apprehend the woman after she tried to leave the area and ran down Lamar Avenue. She resisted arrest, shoving and kicking the cops before they could take her into custody.

After being called to the site, emergency personnel treated the injured woman on the spot; nevertheless, she refused to accept additional medical care and refused to be taken to the hospital. According to FOX13 Memphis, Davis has since been charged with aggravated assault and resisting official detention.

Davis is being jailed with a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Shelby County Court.
