New York (DDN) – A woman was tragically stabbed in Brooklyn after a domestic quarrel, and her son was arrested as a person of interest in the homicide, police and sources said.
Neighbors who heard the victim’s screams and hurried to her aid were able to apprehend and hold her attacker until police arrived at 333 E. 92nd St. in East Flatbush.
The fatal incident began at 11:40 p.m. when inhabitants of the seven-story building heard the woman’s calls for aid.
“I just heard a scream, a woman screaming, ‘Help me!'” claimed one tenant, 28, who requested anonymity. “After that, I heard a faint moan.”
Police rushed to a 911 call and discovered the victim with stab wounds all over her body before arresting her son, according to authorities and sources.
The good Samaritan says he observed another man holding the stabber down and went in to help.
“I went straight for the knife,” he explained. “It was a kitchen knifeāa steak knife. The blade was 7 or 8 inches long. I grabbed the blade. I held onto it. He attempted to yank it away. “It sliced my fingers.”
The victim has not been officially identified, and no arrests have occurred.
