The Giants’ 2025 quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, has offered his thoughts on the most recent quarterback crisis in East Rutherford.
The Colorado quarterback read the headline, “The New York Giants bench Daniel Jones after being 2-8,” during the Legendary Lineup part of the most recent episode of his podcast 2Legendary, in which he reads and responds to the biggest events in sports.
Colorado wide receiver Drelon Miller, his co-host for the week, responded quickly and slyly: “Honestly, I think they need to take a moment to regroup and, you know, hopefully get something good out of the draft.”
Then Sanders’ face broke into a broad smile.
Now, why are you doing that? Sanders stated. For what purpose are you doing that?
Miller replied, “I mean, last year, Malik Nabers was my favorite receiver playing college football.” If I saw the two of you on the team together, I wouldn’t mind. In fact, I’ll be overjoyed.
Sanders gave a lengthy, convoluted response without making any comments, all the while maintaining a smile.

Sanders remarked, “Come on man, he’s Federal out here, I don’t know.” But no, I believe that at that point, it’s up to the coaches and staff. I won’t comment; that’s just a safe course of action for me. Right now, I’m not even able to transform water into wine. I have nothing to do, so I won’t remark.
However, I would never wish for someone’s demise. Never would I do that. Never would I do that. And since I don’t want anyone to do that to me, I would never play in a team’s or player’s collapse. I simply don’t have anything to say because of this.
There wasn’t really much substance there, but Sanders’ smile when the Giants were brought up indicated that there was a lot of interest (plus he didn’t deny his curiosity).
The clip was released a few days after Jones was (naturally) promoted to third-string quarterback by the Giants, behind backup Drew Lock and new starter Tommy DeVito. This action essentially ensures that they will select Jones’ replacement in the April 2025 NFL Draft.
Sanders, who is undoubtedly skilled but also has a lot of baggage, may be that quarterback.
The No. 16 Colorado Buffaloes are a great story in college football this season, and Sanders has been the motor that has lifted them into the playoff discussion, but he also quit on his team during a lossearlier this seasonwhich, among other incidents, has led to seriousleadership concerns.
There s also the fact that whichever team selects Sanders also has to deal with his father,Deionwho might not let certain teams take his son in the first place, laEli Manning.
Let s see how it all plays out as the college football season winds down.
