Yucca Valley Man Charged After Threatening Residents with Hammer and Knife

A Yucca Valley man is facing charges after an altercation involving a hammer and a knife that led to him threatening residents and damaging property. The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Department reported that deputies were called to the 6300 block of Redbluff Avenue around 12:10 p.m. last Saturday following reports of assault with a deadly weapon.

Identified as Brian Christopher Hall, the 42-year-old Yucca Valley resident, showed up at a local residence carrying the said weapons. According to the occupants, who secured themselves inside upon noticing the armament, Hall was not known to them. The official report from the Sheriff’s Department, which was publishedonline, describes how Hall began vandalizing the house and vehicles present.

In an unfortunate turn, the homeowner’s son and his wife, just arriving, witnessed the ongoing vandalism and threats. The couple used their vehicle to protect the house, creating a barrier between the agitated Hall and the home. With their vehicle, they attempted to move Hall away from the property, ultimately leading to his disarmment.

After sustaining injuries in the scuffle, Hall was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment, with plans for his subsequent arrest and booking on multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon. The Department’s representative, Deputy Troy Morphew, confirmed the details of the incident and is urging anyone with further information to contact the Morongo Basin Station at 760-366-4175, referencing Case No. 232401902. Sheriff-Coroner Shannon D. Dicus has not released additional comments concerning Hall’s motives or condition following the event.
