A Zephyrhills neighborhood was gripped by violence earlier today when an alleged disturbance escalated to gunfire, resulting in one man’s death and another’s arrest. The incident occurred around midnight at a home on Steer Blade Drive.

reports that upon their arrival, Zephyrhills Police discovered a 40-year-old male with a gunshot wound, who, after being rushed to St. Joseph’s Medical Center, later perished from his injuries.

Following the incident, authorities promptly identified and arrested 38-year-old Mina Foad on a manslaughter charge, a suspicion later echoed by spokespeople from the Zephyrhills Police Department, indicating the arrest occurred this morning and adding that Foad is believed to be solely responsible for the act, according to a

Authorities are treating the shooting as an isolated incident and have attempted to assuage public fear by affirming no further danger to the community, however, as the

The Zephyrhills Police Department continues to seek any additional information and has reached out to the community to come forward with any relevant knowledge, emphasizing communication through their official channels, more specifically their Criminal Investigations Section at 813-780-0050.
