New York Subway Shooting Recorded in Terrifying Videos

There are videos on social media that show a lot of confusion and disorder after a man was shot on the New York subway in Brooklyn on Thursday evening.

There was an argument between two men on the northbound A train, which then turned into a physical fight. When the train was getting close to the Hoyt-Schermerhorn station, one of the men, who was 36 years old, took out a gun. According to the police, the other man, who is 32 years old, managed to take the gun away from him and shot him multiple times. According to media reports, the 36-year-old person was seriously injured and is currently in critical condition as of Thursday night.

Passengers on the train seemed very scared in videos that were shared online. They moved to the other end of the train while the two men argued. In one of the videos, there is a woman yelling at the other passengers to close the door, while two men can be heard shouting in the background.

According to videos shared on social media, there are clips showing two men arguing and punching each other inside a train, while people around them move away to create space. A woman can be heard screaming, “Let me out, let me out” in a video.

The police say that the 32-year-old got on the train at Nostrand Avenue Station around 4:45 p.m. During a news conference on Thursday, Michael Kemper, the Chief of Transit for the Police Department, explained that when the train began moving, a 36-year-old man who was already on the train approached him and started behaving aggressively and provocatively towards him.

The two people began to argue. The 36-year-old person first pulled out a sharp object, like a knife or a razor blade, and then took out a gun from their jacket. Videos of the fight on the train show that other passengers tried to stop it, but they were not successful. One woman got involved and seemed to stab the older man in the lower back while he was standing over the 32-year-old. On social media, a video shows an older man’s white T-shirt getting a bloodstain. He then asks the woman if she stabbed him. Did you stab me?

Then another man, who was wearing a blue sweatshirt and a bright yellow vest, stepped in to try to calm things down and separate the two men. However, he was quickly pushed away as the two men continued arguing.

The younger man is standing in front of the woman on one side of the train. The 36-year-old takes out a gun from his jacket and approaches the two. The video becomes chaotic as the person recording moves away from the situation. You can hear several gunshots soon after. The man who was shot with his own gun was brought to New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He is currently having surgery there.

Police found a gun at the location, and the 32-year-old person is now in police custody. There are currently no charges against anyone, and we still don’t know who the two men are.

He was trying to stop an argument between two other passengers on a subway train near Franklin Ave-Medgar Evers College station.
