35-year-old Texas Man Dies in Single-vehicle Motorcycle Crash in La Salle County, Investigation Underway

LA SALLE COUNTY, Texas (DDN) – Authorities report that a man has died following a motorcycle accident that occurred in La Salle County.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is looking into a single-car crash that took place on Sunday at 7 p.m.

It was stated that a blue Harley Davidson motorcycle was going on IH-35 S. According to investigators, the driver failed to stay in a single lane around mile marker 72.

This caused the motorcycle to drift into the center median and collide with the center median cable. The driver was thrown off the motorcycle as a result of the incident.

John Nicholas Ruiz, a 35-year-old man from Cotulla, Texas, was the driver. He was declared dead at the site as a result of the injuries he had incurred.

The inquiry into this accident is still ongoing.
