According to the Los Angeles Police Department, crime rates during the summer were lower compared to the previous year. PropertyClub has released a report on the top 10 most dangerous neighborhoods in Los Angeles for the year 2023. Here are the results:

Most Dangerous Los Angeles Neighborhoods

Downtown LA

Downtown LA’s crime rate is 530% higher than the national average, according to a report by PropertyClub. The area, known for its high rises and attractions like Crypto Arena, has seen a significant increase in criminal activity. The residents in this area are facing significant challenges due to the ongoing homeless crisis, as well as incidents of pickpocketing and robberies.

West Adams

Residents of West Adams, a historic neighborhood in South LA, face a significant risk of falling victim to crime, with a 1 in 15 chance. Gun violence, robbery, assault, and theft are among the most prevalent crimes.

Wholesale District

Located within the region is a sprawling homeless encampment, which happens to be one of the largest in the country. The area has received a “F” safety rating according to Crimegrade. According to recent statistics, it has been revealed that an incident of crime takes place in this area approximately every 2 hours and 5 minutes. Additionally, the chances of experiencing a home robbery are significantly higher, with a 300% increase if a home security system is not installed. Drug and gang activity are frequently observed in the area.

Hollywood
