The specific column we were interested in was the number of individuals who identified themselves as Black or African American. We focused our analysis on areas in South Carolina that have a population of more than 5,000 people and are not classified as CDPs. We were left with 58 cities. Next, we determined the proportion of residents who identify as Black or African American. The percentages range from 73.9% to 0.9%.

Finally, we determined the ranking of each city by considering the percentage of the Black population. A higher score indicates a higher percentage of Black residents, while a lower score indicates a lower percentage. Marion was the city with the highest number of Black residents, while North Myrtle Beach had the lowest number of African American residents.
