BAY COUNTY, Mich (DDN) – A Bay County man is in jail after being accused of stealing over $400 worth of pet food.
Damian Leske, 22, was charged with armed robbery, according to court filings.
According to police, Leske was at Pet Supplies Plus in Hampton Township, east of Bay City, on Saturday night. He allegedly walked out of the business with a cart full of pet food worth approximately $400 without paying.
A store employee confronted Leske in the parking area, but police say Leske displayed a revolver in his waistband. Leske drove away, but his car was discovered later and he was detained.
Following his arraignment, he stayed in the Bay County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
