Beatles Star Paul Mccartney Has Named Britain's First Billionaire Musician

Paul McCartney is the first musician from Britain to become a billionaire. He is also the first member of the Beatles to achieve billionaire status.

According to The Sunday Times’ annual Rich List, Paul McCartney and his wife, Nancy Shevell, have a combined net worth of one billion pounds ($1.27 billion). According to the outlet, Paul’s 2023 Got Back tour and Beyoncé covering The Beatles’ song “Blackbird” on her album “Cowboy Carter” helped increase his revenue.

The Beatles also released a song called “Now And Then” in November. It quickly became very popular and reached the number one spot on the music charts in the U.S., the U.K., and other countries.

The Sunday Times says that Nancy, who is the daughter of the late U.S. trucking tycoon Mike Shevell, is responsible for 50 million pounds of the couple’s net worth.

In 2020, Forbes included the singer/songwriter in their list of the highest-earning celebrities in the world. They ranked at number 91, along with Oprah Winfrey, boxer Canelo Alvarez, and NBA player Damian Lillard.

According to Forbes, McCartney made $37 million in 2019 and earned over $100 million from his solo shows during that period. McCartney became famous in the 1960s when he joined the Beatles, a band that included John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.

The famous band stayed together for just eight years, but they managed to release 12 studio albums during that period. They have some popular songs like “Hey Jude,” “Let It Be,” “Yesterday,” and “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.”

After the band broke up, McCartney was the first member of The Beatles to release a solo album. It was called “McCartney” and came out in 1970.

According to Forbes, McCartney has released a total of 17 studio albums. Paul McCartney’s latest album, titled “Egypt Station,” came out in 2018.

McCartney makes money from his albums and performances. He also owns a company called MPL Communications, which he started in 1969. According to a 2019 report from Billboard, the music publishing company has control over the rights to more than 25,000 songs.

According to Billboard, MPL owns the songs that Paul McCartney wrote after his time with the Beatles. They also own songs by Buddy Holly, Fats Waller, and Bessie Smith. McCartney was ranked 165th out of the 350 richest people in the U.K., according to the newspaper. Gopi Hinduja and his family are currently ranked number one and are estimated to have a net worth of approximately 37 billion pounds.

According to the outlet, the list also included other famous people like Elton John, who is estimated to have a net worth of 470 million pounds, and King Charles, who is worth 610 million pounds.
