Method to determine the dumbest cities in Washington
We understand that formal education is just one aspect of intelligence. However, being able to distinguish between they’re, their, and there is always important to avoid looking foolish.
We used Saturday Night Science to help us decide what factors are important when considering a city’s educational opportunities. Specifically, we focused on how many people in the population take advantage of those opportunities. Simply put, we have created these criteria to identify the least intelligent cities in Washington:
- % of the city’s population with less than a high school education (Age 25+)
- % of city’s population with a college degree (Age 25+)
We obtained the data from the U.S. Census 2018-2022 American Community Survey. Our algorithm assigns a rank to each place in these categories. After analyzing all the data, here is a list of cities in Washington ranked from least intelligent to most intelligent. We considered every city in Washington with a population of at least 5,000 for this ranking. We have revised this article for 2024, marking the tenth edition of our ranking of the least intelligent cities in Washington.
