Driver Hits Two Pedestrians in Dallas, Killing One and Injuring Another Near Cedar Springs Road

DALLAS (DDN) – A 23-year-old woman was killed and another injured while walking toward their transportation in Dallas on Thursday night.

Police were dispatched to a crash on Gillespie Street, near Turtle Creek Boulevard and Cedar Springs Road, soon before 10 p.m. Thursday.

According to investigators, two persons were walking approaching a parked ridesharing vehicle. Another driver drove around the parked car, striking the two victims.

Both victims were transported to the hospital. Katherine Kerl, age 23, was one of the victims who perished.

According to police, the other individual hit by the automobile is in stable condition. The suspect in the accident remained on the scene.

What we don’t know: We don’t know what criminal charges the driver may face. Dallas Police say the crash investigation is still ongoing.

Criminal charges are pending the results of the inquiry.
