Vancouver’s neighborhoods are often associated with many stereotypes. There are different types of neighborhoods, such as hipster areas, preppy places, neighborhoods where college kids thrive, and areas that are considered less safe. There is a neighborhood in Vancouver for everyone.

Vancouver is often considered one of the best places to live in Washington because it offers a lot of entertainment and job opportunities. However, it’s not perfect and has its own challenges. Certain neighborhoods are less safe than others.

So, the question is, which neighborhoods in Vancouver are the most dangerous and which ones are the safest?

Today, we will use Saturday Night Science to figure out which neighborhoods in Vancouver need some extra attention – the areas that stand out in a negative way, so to speak. It’s important to understand that not all neighborhoods can be amazing. However, Parkway East is significantly better than the others.

We studied 60 neighborhoods in Vancouver to determine which ones are the most dangerous to live in. These places are not as good as Vancouver is known to be.

Method to determine the most dangerous Vancouver neighborhoods

In order to determine how undesirable a place is to live in, we simply need to consider the preferences of people and identify the places that have the fewest of those things. We used the following criteria in Saturday Night Science to determine the worst neighborhoods in Vancouver:

  • High crime (Estimated)
  • High unemployment (Less jobs)
  • Low median income (Less pay)
  • Low population density (No things to do)
  • Low home values (No one’s willing to pay to live here)

Next, we evaluated and ranked each neighborhood in Vancouver, Washington based on these criteria, from the least favorable to the most favorable. Afterwards, we calculated the average ranking for each criterion and called it the “Worst Score.”

The neighborhood with the lowest “Worst Score” is considered the most dangerous neighborhood in Vancouver.
