Billionaire Jeff Yass has been named the richest person in Pennsylvania in 2024, according to The Forbes 400, a yearly list of America’s wealthiest individuals.
According to Forbes, there are currently more billionaires in the world than ever before, with a total of 2,781. This is 141 more than last year and 26 more than the previous record set in 2021. Additionally, these billionaires are wealthier than ever. The United States has the highest number of billionaires, with a total of 813 individuals who are worth a combined $5.7 trillion.
According to Forbes, they calculate net worth using stock prices from March 8th. Yass is a 65-year-old person who used to be a professional gambler and now is a successful trader and investor. He helped start Susquehanna International Group and is now worth around $27.6 billion.

According to the Forbes report, the amount is lower than the $28.5 billion from last year, but significantly higher than the $12 billion in 2021 and 2022. He is ranked at number 64 on Forbes’ list. Here are the other Pennsylvanians who made it to the top 400:

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, is in fourth place with a net worth of $177 billion. Larry Ellison, the founder of Oracle software development company, is in fifth place with a net worth of $141 billion.
