Before going to the University of Arkansas for the Red-White spring game on Saturday, Caleb Bell, who is being recruited for the defensive line, had already planned to visit Fayetteville officially from June 14-16. He quickly decided to set up an official visit after talking to Razorbacks defensive line coach Deke Adams and quality control analyst Kelvin Green.
“I had a phone conversation with the coaching staff for the defensive line. We talked a lot and they shared information with me. I also observed some things and overall, I felt positive about the situation,” Bell said. “It seemed like a place I would enjoy visiting and a place I would like to go.”
Bell, who is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 265 pounds, is from Alpharetta, Georgia. He has received scholarship offers from Missouri, Louisville, Kansas, Georgia Tech, North Carolina State, SMU, Rutgers, and other schools. He got a job offer from the Hogs on March 6. He said he values his relationship with Adams.

Bell noticed the environment around the program as soon as he arrived on Saturday. “When I got there, people were nice to me, treated me well, and showed me everything,” Bell said. “Everyone is focused on their own tasks and knows what they are doing.” Everything appears to be running smoothly.
Bell had a great season as a junior. He made 75 tackles, 10 of which were behind the line of scrimmage. He also had 9.5 sacks, 17 times he hurried the quarterback, and he even forced a fumble. On top of that, he deflected 2 passes and returned an interception for a touchdown. His performance helped the Eagles win their second state title.
During the visit, Bell had the opportunity to stay in touch with Adams and Green. He also felt reassured that he is an important player for the Razorbacks. “They already gave me a tour of the entire campus, but it was an unofficial one,” Bell said. “They were kind and respectful to both me and my dad, who was also present.”

His father, Kendrell Bell, played as a linebacker for Georgia in 1999-2000. He was then chosen by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft and was named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2001. Kendrell Bell thought that Arkansas’ strength and conditioning program was really good. “They are trying to make you a better football player,” said Caleb Bell. “He enjoyed that it was different from what he had heard from other schools.”
“He enjoyed the coaching staff and the people he met there.” He believed that they were friendly and welcoming. Bell has only been ranked by one of the four major recruiting services, 247Sports. They have listed him as a 3-star prospect in the early stages of rankings. Bell expressed his belief that Arkansas has the necessary qualities to achieve success.
