Bayonne
Bayonne is the most southern city on New Jersey’s Gold Coast. It’s also one of the newest towns in the area to get a lot of new residents, since it doesn’t have a lot of public transportation. Though, things have changed since 2011, when the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail was extended to Bayonne. Also, in the fall of 2020, a new boat service will start going from Bayonne to Manhattan. There are lots of things to do, like shopping and eating at Edgewater Commons and hiking and boating at Palisades Park Recreation Area. It feels like you’re in a quiet neighborhood.
Fort Lee
Many people choose to live in Fort Lee, NJ, because it is close to New York City and in a more peaceful area. If you want to live on the Gold Coast with your family, Fort Lee is the best choice. It is known for being safe and having good schools. However, it will take longer and cost more to get from Fort Lee to New York City. Taking the bus from Fort Lee to Port Authority usually takes 45 to 60 minutes.
