You can live close to New York City in NJ’s Paulus Hook neighborhood. Paulus Hook is a small, historic neighborhood near the Hudson River Waterfront. Its 19th-century brownstone homes, pretty streets, and family-friendly vibe will charm you. The boat or the Path train are quick ways for people to get to the city. The Grove Street and Exchange Place stations are only minutes from Paulus Hook. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to the World Trade Center, but 25 to 30 minutes to get to 33rd Street/Herald Square.


For people who want to live near New York City, Teaneck is also a great choice. The town is in Bergen County and is a bit of a chill zone. It’s only 13 miles, or 30 minutes by car, from Midtown Manhattan. Teaneck has a lot of history, great schools, and a lot of different kinds of people living there. There are lots of things to do, like shopping and eating at Edgewater Commons and hiking and boating at Palisades Park Recreation Area. It feels like you’re in a quiet neighborhood.

Many people choose to live in Fort Lee, NJ, because it is close to New York City and in a more peaceful area. If you want to live on the Gold Coast with your family, Fort Lee is the best choice. It is known for being safe and having good schools. However, it will take longer and cost more to get from Fort Lee to New York City. Taking the bus from Fort Lee to Port Authority usually takes 45 to 60 minutes.
