Pennsylvania Sets New Record in iGaming Revenue

Pennsylvania’s online casino games had an extremely successful month in March, breaking records for state gaming revenue. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced this week that the total revenue from all types of gaming in the state reached a record high of over $554.6 million for the month. Pennsylvania earned over $191 million in revenue from iGaming for the month.

In December 2023, the highest monthly gaming revenue for Pennsylvania was $534.2 million. Users in Pennsylvania made the most of the top PA online casino bonus codes, resulting in record-breaking revenue this month.

iGaming Drives Pennsylvania Revenues

Last month, Pennsylvania made a record-breaking amount of money from gaming revenue. They earned $554,625,294, surpassing the previous record of $534,215,808 set in December 2023. The revenue in March was 7.64% higher than the revenue in March 2023, which was $515,278,831.

Last month, most of the gaming revenue in Pennsylvania came from iGaming. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported a total revenue of $191,086,114 for the month. In March, the majority of revenue came from iSlot, which totaled $135,519,554. iTable revenue was $53,091,910, and iPoker revenue was the lowest at $2,474,651.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course earned the most money from online gambling, with over $72.28 million in revenue for the month. Valley Forge Casino Resort came in second with $50.8 million, followed by Rivers Casino Philadelphia with $32.75 million.

Pennsylvania earned $82,061,953 in tax revenue from iGaming for the month. In March 2024, Pennsylvania made a total of $229,566,989 in tax revenue from various types of gaming and fantasy contests.

March Madness Fuels Sports Betting

In March, users in Pennsylvania placed bets totaling over $800.7 million on sports. This is a 10.7% increase compared to the total amount of $723.54 million bet in March 2023. In March 2024, even though there was more betting activity, the total taxable revenue was lower compared to March 2023. Pennsylvania’s taxable revenue in March 2024 was $45.58 million, which is lower than the $50.6 million reported in March 2023.
