Authorities are searching for an individual responsible for vandalism and burglary at the Neuhaus Chocolate Store in Grand Central. According to MTA police, the suspect caused about $29,000 in damage during the break-in earlier this month.NBC New Yorkreported that the incident occurred just before 3 a.m., with the suspect kicking through a glass door on East 42nd Street to enter. Surveillance footage shows the suspect running off and then taking a downtown 6 train.
The MTA police are continuing their investigation to determine the full extent of the vandalism, including whether any items were stolen from the chocolate store. A representative from Neuhaus was unable to comment, and the regional manager has not responded to requests. Surveillance photos and a video of the suspect, seen wearing a black shirt and black hat, have been released in hopes of identifying him, as reported byam New York.
