Method to find the numbers for getting laid in Texas

We understand that this may seem like a topic more suited for a casual conversation at a bar, which is precisely why we employ Saturday Night Science.

In order to determine the factors that contribute to successful romantic encounters in Texas, we conducted a thorough analysis. It’s reasonable to expect that people will be more inclined to engage in social activities in areas with a high number of young singles, where people are not married and do not have children, and where there are plenty of adult-oriented activities available.

Considering this, we utilized the latest 2018-2022 American Community Survey Census data generated for the state of Texas. We combined it with data from OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL 1.0, and colleges from IPEDS.

We made sure to focus on:

  • Population density
  • % of population that’s female (More females than males)
  • % of unmarried people in each city
  • % of households with kids in each city
  • Colleges per capita
  • Bars per capita

We assigned each city a score based on its chances for romantic encounters. The higher the score, the more favorable the city is for romantic encounters. In order to provide more focused results, we narrowed down our findings to cities that have a population of over 10,000. There were a total of 228 cities in Texas.

This article provides factual information in an entertaining manner. We have recently updated this article for 2024, marking our tenth edition of ranking the most accessible cities for romantic encounters in Texas.
