Study to find the most dangerous neighborhoods in Syracuse, NY

It wasn’t hard to figure out which places are bad to live in; we just had to find out what people like and which places have the least of those things. This is what we put into Saturday Night Science to find the worst areas in Syracuse:

  • High unemployment (Less jobs)
  • Low median income (Less pay)
  • Low population density (No things to do)
  • Low home values (No one’s willing to pay to live here)

After that, we put each area in Syracuse, New York, in order from worst to best based on these factors. Next, we took the average of the scores for each category and came up with a “Worst Score.” Out of all the neighborhoods in Syracuse, the one with the lowest “Worst Score” is the safest.
