DDN – Three persons were arrested Saturday morning on Smith Street after officers responded to a stabbing and shooting, according to an Auburn Officers Department Facebook post.
Chase Snow, 18, was arrested and charged with various counts of aggravated assault, enhanced aggravated assault, reckless conduct, and aggravated reckless conduct. Snow was transferred to the Androscoggin County Jail and is being held without bail.
Daniel Day, 19, and Wendy Day, 57, the son and mother who live in the house, were charged with providing a venue for minors to drink alcohol.
Police said they are considering more charges.
Police rushed to 45 Smith St. around 3:20 a.m. Saturday after receiving reports of a stabbing and shooting.
Officers discovered two male gunshot victims and one stabbing victim at the scene. The victims, two adults, and one kid, were taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston in serious but stable condition.
The gang was partying at 45 Smith St. when a fight broke out; Snow allegedly stabbed one of the victims before shooting the other two, according to the social media post.
The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit is supporting Auburn police with their continuing investigation. Lewiston police and Androscoggin County sheriff’s deputies aided Auburn police on the site.
