Donald Trump recently held his first campaign event for the 2024 general election in Pennsylvania. During the event, he talked about topics like energy independence, immigration, and his belief that he is innocent in the ongoing trials he is involved in.
A Frigid Night
Thousands of supporters gathered at the Schnecksville Fire Company fairgrounds, enduring the harsh cold and wind. The town, which is located about 10 minutes away from Allentown, attracted many people who were excited to see Trump. Many of them waited in line for hours. The weather was very cold at the outdoor event. Journalists from different media outlets shared their gloves with each other to help keep their cold hands warm.
The strong winds caused Trump’s flight to be delayed and made him arrive an hour late, after the sun had set and temperatures had dropped even more. The previous president arrived from Bucks County, where he had attended a previous fundraising event. While the group of people waited, State Treasurer Stacy Garrity greeted them and asked if they were “ready to improve America.”
“The election in 2024 is extremely significant,” she said, and the crowd cheered. “If we don’t elect Republicans, our state and country will continue to decline.” When Trump arrived, he asked, “Are you feeling cold?” I’m really cold up here. As the night got colder, people started leaving as the former president kept speaking until almost 9 p.m.
Genocide Joe
Trump began by discussing the recent news that Iran had launched drones and missiles towards Israel. However, Israel and the U.S. forces were able to intercept and stop them before they could reach their intended targets. The previous president accused Biden.
“The people of Israel are currently under attack. God bless them,” Trump told the crowd. “That’s because we displayed a significant lack of strength…” “It wouldn’t have happened if we were at work.” Shortly after, the crowd began to chant “Genocide Joe.”

Millions and Millions
The crowd often cheered for Trump as he criticized Biden, claiming that the president was not doing well in terms of border security and achieving energy independence. “He is the worst president our country has ever had,” he said. “If we don’t win this election, our country will be in serious trouble.”
Trump brought up immigration as a topic of disagreement multiple times. “Currently, there are millions of people coming into our country from prisons, mental institutions, and various parts of the world,” they said to a crowd that responded with boos. “This is the worst border of any country in the history of the world.”
Natural Gas
Trump said that Biden’s proposed rules for gas and oil production are affecting the goal of making the country energy-independent and also hurting the economy.
“Biden has implemented a strict ban on exporting natural gas, which is endangering many jobs in Pennsylvania,” he said. “He is putting your lives and jobs at risk, but he doesn’t care because all he is concerned about is the green new scam.”
Pennsylvania is the second highest producer of natural gas in the United States. Pennsylvania Senators John Fetterman and Bob Casey feel that the industry is very important. They went against the administration and told President Biden to think again about stopping the approval of more exports of liquefied natural gas plants.
Pennsylvania is a state that produces a lot of energy. “This industry has created well-paying energy jobs in towns and communities across the Commonwealth and has played a critical role in promoting U.S. energy independence,” Fetterman and Casey wrote in a letter. Pennsylvania is the second largest natural gas-producing state.
