UTV-SUV Crash in Arizona Leaves Idaho Falls Woman Dead, Husband Airlifted to Las Vegas

DDN – Two Idaho Falls citizens were killed in a crash in Arizona last week, according to the Bullhead City Police Department.

Trena Yvette Reinhart, a 48-year-old female from Idaho Falls, was declared deceased at the site of the accident, police said. Laurence Jason Reinhart, a 49-year-old man from Idaho Falls, is still hospitalized in Las Vegas.

According to the news announcement, the tragedy happened on December 31, 2024.

According to the release, a 78-year-old male Arizona resident was driving an SUV westbound on a highway when a UTV driven by Laurence Reinhart, who was carrying Trena Reinhart, attempted to cross the roadway and collided with the SUV.

According to the announcement, emergency crews responded around 3:40 p.m. Trena was pronounced dead, and Laurence was evacuated by helicopter to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. The SUV driver was sent to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Bullhead City is located near the Arizona-Nevada border, approximately 100 miles south of Las Vegas. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has approximately 43,000 residents.
