Methodology to Find Which Place is Best for Families in Texas
In order to determine the best places in Texas for families, we need to consider several factors. We want to use Saturday Night Science to measure the criteria that people want in a family-friendly city. After studying the U.S. Census data for the state of Texas, we examined the data for every city in the state. We focused on:
- Crime (Both violent and property)
- Quality of local schools
- Distance to a major city without necessarily being in it
- % of households with children
- Family-friendly amenities nearby (museums, libraries, and colleges)
