New Jersey Small Business Manual Now Available

The New Jersey Business Action Center (NJBAC) has announced that the New Jersey Small Business Manual is now available. This publication offers information and guidance on starting, running, and growing a small business. NJBAC, which is a part of the Department of State, worked together with the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), the Office of Innovation, and other community-based partners to create a resource that supports the growth and success of small businesses in New Jersey.

The manual contains information about state and local permits and inspections, financial assistance programs, lease contracts, commercial real estate transactions, and other topics related to owning and operating a small business. You can access the manual either in print or online.

“The small business sector is very important for our state’s economy,” said Lieutenant Governor Tahesha Way. “Every day, hundreds of thousands of people from New Jersey are helping to make our state prosperous.” We recognize the importance of investing in tools and resources, such as the New Jersey Small Business Manual, for business owners and entrepreneurs because it provides a significant return. When our small business community is successful, it benefits all of us.

You can download copies of the business manual from the NJBAC website or request copies to keep for your group. Private citizens can contact NJBAC through live chat or by calling the helpline at 1-800-JERSEY-7 to request a printed version.
