World’s Deadliest Creature Ready to Attack New York Again

The creature known as the “world’s deadliest” is beginning to wake up and is prepared to gather in large numbers in New York.

During this time of year, animals are waking up. However, you might be surprised to learn about the animal that has been labeled as the “world’s deadliest” by the CDC.

World’s Deadliest Creature

According to the CDC, the mosquito is considered the most dangerous animal in the world. The CDC states that the small insect with long legs that annoys, bites, and leaves you with an itchy bump is not just a nuisance, but also one of the most deadly animals in the world. “Mosquitoes spread diseases like malaria, dengue, West Nile, yellow fever, Zika, chikungunya, and lymphatic filariasis. They are responsible for more deaths than any other creature in the world.”

In 2017, around 500,000 people died from malaria, which is a disease that can be transmitted by mosquitoes. The CDC reports that millions of people get sick with malaria each year.

According to the CDC, the number of severe cases of West Nile Virus in 2018 was 25 percent higher compared to the years 2008-2017. Officials say that in 2022, New York State had the highest number of West Nile Virus cases in the country.

There are more than 70 different types of mosquitoes in New York State. Health experts from New York State say that there are diseases spread by mosquitoes in the state. Some of these diseases include:

Officials say that if a mosquito infected with West Nile Virus bites you, it can make you very sick and, in some cases, even cause death. Even though the likelihood of someone getting sick is low, people who are 50 years old or older are more likely to experience severe illness.

World’s Deadliest Animal Wakes Up Across New York

Health officials in New York State have confirmed that mosquitoes are most active in New York from April through October. New York State was ranked in the top 4 on Insuranks’ list of the 10 hotspots in America for mosquitoes. According to the report, only Florida, Louisiana, and South Dakota have a higher number of mosquitoes.
