Detroit Police Seek Trio in Terrifying Shooting and Arson Incident [VIDEO]

The Detroit Police Department is on the hunt for three suspects involved in a shocking shooting and arson incident on the city’s west side.

The event, captured on home security video, took place around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7.

In the chilling footage released by the DPD, the trio can be seen approaching a house in the 19200 block of Appleton, near 7 Mile and Telegraph Rd.

According to the source, without any hesitation, the suspects started a fire at the residence. Two of them then opened fire on the home, sending bullets flying before fleeing the scene on foot.

The third suspect took a different route, heading to the side of the house where he hurled a Molotov cocktail at a window.

A Molotov cocktail, also known as a “bottle bomb,” is typically made from a glass container filled with a flammable substance and a fuse. Once lit, it is thrown to cause destruction through fire.

Despite the severity of the incident, no one was injured. Thankfully, the home was vacant at the time, which undoubtedly prevented potential injuries or worse.

Police have reported that there was fire damage to the first floor of the home, but the extent of the damage has not been fully detailed.

As of Thursday, authorities have not yet identified the suspects involved in this brazen crime.

In an effort to bring these individuals to justice, the Detroit Police Department is appealing to the public for assistance.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects or has any information related to this crime is urged to contact the DPD’s Arson Unit at 313-596-2940. Alternatively, tips can be submitted anonymously through the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-SPEAK UP (1-800-773-2587).
